Capabilities
Design, manufacturing, decoration, licensing and materials, all of it inside the group.
Design
For ride launches, live shows and exhibitions
Our design team works to a brief with a date attached, then hands the approved concept to a plant inside the same group.
Because design and manufacturing sit in one company, a concept is checked against tooling cost and decoration method before it reaches the client. A shape that will not run at the target price is caught in the studio.
A designer can confirm with the plant that a form runs before the concept goes out, so approvals hold through to production more often than they otherwise would.
- Concept and range development for a launch or a season
- Artwork adapted per product and per decoration method
- Character and licensed-property work, to the licensor's guidelines
- Packaging and swing tags
- Free mock-ups: every quote, no charge
Manufacturing
The group's plant in Dongguan and warehouse in Sydney
Dongguan Grand Harvest Gifts Co Ltd is part of this group. Tooling, sampling, production and quality control all happen there, run by people the company employs.
Sample scheduling, minimum quantity, artwork changed mid-run and the authority to hold a line are all decided inside the group.
Stock for the Australian market is warehoused in Sydney and reordered from there.
- Tooling and mould-making in-house
- Samples in days, not months
- Quality control by our own people, on our own floor
- Sedex membership and SMETA ethical auditing
- Warehousing in Sydney
- Low minimums, because the plant is ours to schedule
Decoration
Five methods, all inside the group
No decoration step is outsourced. A job needing two methods on one garment is run by a single team, and the registration between them is checked before it ships.
The Sydney print floor handles work that has to be decorated close to its delivery date, without the job going offshore and back.
- DTF transfer: full colour, fine detail, on almost any fabric
- Sublimation: edge to edge, printed before the garment is cut
- Embroidery: for headwear, polos and anything that needs to read as premium
- Screen print: the volume workhorse
- Glow in the dark: for night events and after-dark seasons
- Printing in Sydney, on a quick turnaround
Licensing
Running licensed programmes, and distributing them
We have supplied Qantas, the world's second oldest airline, for many years, including product made under their official licensing programme.
Licensed work is largely administration: approvals, artwork control, territory, reporting, and a licensor able to withdraw a programme if the product is wrong. Approvals are the stage that most often sets the timeline.
We are also the Australian distribution partner for Pearlfrost on Sanrio licensed product.
- Licensor approval workflows
- Artwork control across a range and a season
- Character product for parks, zoos and travel retail
- Distribution of licensed ranges into Australian retail
Materials and responsibility
RPET, bamboo, and less plastic in the packaging
Conservation messaging and the packaging around it are now judged together, and that expectation has spread from zoos into the other markets we supply.
We use recycled and plant-based materials where the product allows it, and are reducing packaging across our supply chains.
Sedex membership and SMETA auditing cover labour, health and safety, environment and business ethics at the plant.
- RPET, made from recycled bottles
- Bamboo, where it suits the product
- Reducing and removing plastic packaging across our supply chains
- Sedex member, SMETA audited
- Australian Made certified where the product qualifies
